1st post, first problem.

Hi guys. After talking to Jonathan Jesse on Marcel Gagne's mail list, I popped in my fresh download of Ichthux in my testbox. It ran great live and I was impressed. I went through the install routine as a complete takeover of the hard drive and just point and clicked my way through as if this were my first Linux install. I get to the logon splash screen, type in my user name and password and the screen goes dark for a moment and then goes right to the splash screen again for me to log in. Lather rise repeat...same result. Test box is a Dell Dimension 4100 with a p800 and 512 MB of RAM.

Same Problem as Main Post

unable to logon to new version either

I installed ichthux version 6.10 and tried to use my logon id and password and it wont work. I tried Root and SU and no password and no cigar. I logged on to the single user selection in the boot menu and when I use my user id and password from the command line it works just fine. So, I dunno. Any ideas? It is going to be difficult to test drive when I cant get to the OS. LOL..
