Can't log in after install

Hi, Just installed 6.10 and have a little problem. When i get to the log in screen and enter my pasword, the screen goes black for a few seconds and then jsut goes back to the login screen. Thanks for the help. Chuck

Post your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log and let us see what we may find... -------------------------------------------------------- If war is the answer, peace cannot be the goal.
