Network/ printer install questions

I need to figure out how to be able to print from one of my Linux machines over to a shared network printer on an XP PRO SP2 box or is that even possible? When I boot to ichthux on the main machine that has dual boot XP and Linux it does not see the printer even though it is attached to a usb hub. I know that the USB root hubs are being recognized because when I insert a USB jump drive Linux recognizes it. I also want to know if I can see shared folders on the same XP Pro SP2 box from the linux machines on my network. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes to both. You can access

Yes to both. You can access these from remote places, not on a using Kubuntu system right now so I can't walk you through it but it should be one of the icons form your system or home icon. You need to make sure that your shares are set up in Windows and that Samba is running in Ichthux, usually it is part of defaults (I think). When you click on remote places you should see MSWORKGROUP, or whatever you called your local windows office net and then you click on that, it should show you all your shared folders and devices. This is all from memory (not dependable) so you may also want to try the Ubuntu forums for better answers.
