Why should I switch from ubuntu ce.

Can someone provide me with some reasons on why I should switch to this distro from Ubuntu Christian Edition?

Hi, There is no reason to

Hi, There is no reason to switch if you like using Ubuntu Christian Edition. Ichthux is actually based on Ubuntu itself (or actually included in Ubuntu 6.10) while Ubuntu Christian Edition is an Ubuntu that has been customized with scripts. The main differences are the fact that Ubuntu Christian Edition uses GNOME by default while Ichthux uses KDE (different graphical environment, there are pros and cons for both), that Ubuntu Christian Edition uses non-free programs (as in, not open-source) while Ichthux doesn't (again, pros and cons whether what you want is an OS that entirely works out of a box or that follows open-source values) and that Ubuntu Christian Edition doesn't use packages while Ichthux does (pros and cons: it's easier and faster to develop with scripts than packages, but it's easier to update a system and keep it sane with packages). So it's just up to you. Additionally, you can just install both of them on the same Ubuntu install, or even install Ichthux and run the Ubuntu Christian Edition scripts on top of it, to benefit from both systems (I think some people tried that). God bless Raphaël
