When I created Ichthux in March 2005, the idea was just to take a Knoppix CD (3.8 at that time) and customize it with Christian apps, sword modules and default settings. However, this wouldn't take us far, so we moved to a Custom Debian Distribution, then to an Ubuntu derivative. There are still Ichthux-live isos (based on Knoppix 3.8) around on crosswire.org, from that old times. Technologically, they have nothing to do with what Ichthux is today, and they are not to be updated anymore. Raphaël
