New feature proposition - Smart event planning suite.
Submitted by innovati on Mon, 2008-08-11 18:08
Hello all,
I have a few ideas, and maybe these fall outside of the current scope of the project, but I think they should be considered.
The church, for centuries has played the role of a social network for communities and countries, helping peopler make contact with other people who can help them that they may never have met otherwise. In the modern church, one equipped with software and computers, you would imagine that the single greatest tool to a church would be social-networking and event planning software.
What's keeping you from developing? - Time, money, or something else?

Hi there,
I would love to see more frequent releases of ICHTHUX...
Just wondering... Is it lack of time, or lack of money, that slows this project...? (or something else...?)
The reason I'm asking, is that I plan on making a donation (based on donations from our christian community, here in Ã…rhus, Denmark.)
I'll show them 6.10, and it's features, and ask for them to consider donating!
In case 7.04 will be around soon, I'll probably wait till that release (Since Kubuntu 7.04 has a LOT of improved features over 6.10)
Thank you!
Is this project on going?

Hey, I came over from Ubuntu CE, and was looking into switching to KDE desktop, so naturally Ichthux would be my choice. However after about 5 minutes on the web page it looks as though this project is dying.?? Is it still being worked on and developed? I'm not a developer, but maybe there is some way that I can help up keep? I'm not going backward though, I have 7.04 installed.

Progress towards Ichthux 7.*
Submitted by poiema on Wed, 2007-02-28 18:20
Howdy everyone.
Although the forums and activity appear slow here at the moment, development is still ongoing on Ichthux. Raphael is undoubtably working towards the release of Ubuntu 7.04. And although I am not so familiar with the other developers other efforts, I'd be willing to bet that they are busy with other projects as well. And all are probably also working towards a smoth upgrade of Ichthux as well. Maybe a few of us could take up some of the slack as far as support and documentation within the community so visitors will know the project is alive, well and thriving!
God Bless,
Yeah I know!

Hi guys.
After talking to Jonathan Jesse on Marcel Gagne's mail list, I popped in my fresh download of Ichthux in my testbox. It ran great live and I was impressed. I went through the install routine as a complete takeover of the hard drive and just point and clicked my way through as if this were my first Linux install. I get to the logon splash screen, type in my user name and password and the screen goes dark for a moment and then goes right to the splash screen again for me to log in. Lather rise repeat...same result.
Test box is a Dell Dimension 4100 with a p800 and 512 MB of
Everlasting Joy Upgrade
Submitted by TAPotter on Fri, 2006-12-15 14:54
Can I upgrade to Everlasting Joy like I upgrade LTS6.06 to Edgy?
1. Change sources.list to Edgy
2. Modify the Ichthux repository to < what? >
3 sudo dist-upgrade
etc
??
If you do not have a new repository I understand this is a moot question and will just burn a CD
Logon screen compatiblity needed for 640x480 resolution
Submitted by mini_g on Mon, 2006-10-23 16:48
I've had xorg.conf change to what seems to be at random to a 640x480 resolution, once when I was using the Ichthux logon screen, and unfortinately had to reinstall as I didn't know about nano and the appropriate config file at the time.
